BTW, industries do not normally have 'company colours' anyway, be they flags or signs, because industries are not owned by companies.

Still, they can be useful in identifying who built the industry in a MP game. I dunno how often that's actually used, but I'd like it. A colored flag or banner or some sort of sign is quite fine. In my "Truck and Bus Lots" NewGRF I plan on painting the curb facing the road in company color.

Personally I think a small flag or similar could be enough to visualize ownership, rather then some of those hidious colours covering entire buildings as is the case with some ECS-industries...
