Decided it was time to update my old beach set and at the same time add all four directions... Below, from my INFRA Maritime set, a compilation of some of the elements included to form a beach... of course, with the additional hotels, cafées and the sort, it'll look even more welcoming...

The palms have been reduced in size, but the only thing I'm a bit unsure of are the parasols... :?

Please look here:

but I dunno something similar is feasible in OTTD x1 zoom scale. The pixels are too few.

Now the colors should contrast the sand. And you already have green in trees.

So I would avoid
yellow (I see you smartly made the outline more orange, but IMO that warm yellow would better be a tone more orange) and
green.

Blue tones would contrast nicely.

This applies for single color. If you could manage to add white like above example it would look OK.

Improved the parasols further and they do look better... Also replaced the green parasols with a bluish one... However, come to think about it I believe I'll settle with red ones only... It looks more clean...

Great stuff!
I do believe there could be some improvements, try experimenting with these suggestions:
- The parasols might look better when they are a bit lower. Loose the lowest light grey pixel and the first dark one. I feel that makes them stand out less and blend in more.
- Make the parasols a bit darker and loose the top pixel. I feel that defines the shape a bit better and lets them blend in better with your beach colors.
- I feel there is something wrong with the palmtrees. Some trunks have beachcolors in them, giving them a strange kind of zig-zag shape.
- I see you have attempted to give the visitors to the beach a "tan". Maybe some may even have a darker tan. Right now almost all visitors are very "pinkey" (yes I know, it is just april, so not much people have gotten a chance to tan ;-) )

I have included your screenshot with some alterations from me to show what I mean (except the tanning).
My parasol edits are in the low-left, please note the green circles regarding the palmtrees.

The palm trees don't look like that in the updated sprite sheet though, but thanks for spotting it anyway... As for the parasols, I've darkened them and lowered them... much better I think... And there are even some people with more tan than others now... :P

And yes, if anyone wonders, there are a lot more parts to this although not shown in the image, such as boardwalks with cafées and restaurants, shops, ice cream vendors, oasis... :)

Indeed. BTW those dark entrance gates might look better if the top line was a shade or two brighter, since they are one 1 pixel wide and you cannot do anything else to show the direction of the sun.
