Personally after some consideration I'm happy with them as they are. Proportions in TTDLX isn't always justice and considering the rather low poles those information boards are attached to, and the height of platform lights along with the entrance height of the station building, altogether I feel it all looks fine... SlemFreak wrote: Looks like the railing on one of the stairs is a bit off. That's an illusion... SlemFreak wrote: And the roof doesn't fit good onto the wall. I'll give you a roof to be happy about... No but seriously, I believe you are right and I have made some changes to it... Looks plenty good now my friend...

...and here's a screenshot of the station building after changes made... Apart from changing the steel sections of the glassroof, I also made some other cosmetic changes, and I think it looks perfect now... It's soo much one can do when secrets about ingame options are revealed, especially as far as time required concerns... Attachment:

...and while at it, here's a rework of two other platforms... The above one is the original, and the below one is improved... The information boards has been reduced just a tiny tiny bit, and the platform lights has been lifted a tiny tiny bit... Which one of them is preferred? Do note that while the information board may seem larger on the below platform, it's just because the space inbetween has been slightly increased... Attachment:

Lovin' it, SAC! Did you maybe want to add the hint of glass in the side windows? They currently look like black holes, and the glint would add some highlights to the sunny side of the station.

I did line them up at first, but I didn't think it looked good at all... Oz wrote: Lovin' it, SAC! Did you maybe want to add the hint of glass in the side windows? Yes, they do look like black holes... totally forgot about them... will have a look at those...

Other stations for use in my OpenTTD-game, this one for Rail Transport Maintenance Services - an improvement of the original from the MLSS-set... Does anyone know who made the original building, (the first one)? Attachment:

Sorry if I am stating the obvious but...
Would it not be the person who created the MLSS set since that is where you got the original graphic from? Their name escapes me at the moment but I am sure a quick search over at the TT Forums would turn it up.
Nice improvements on the graphic. A bit too modern for older time frames but very nice none the less.

This is the first post on the forums referencing those sheds. Supermop drew all the sheds for the previous versions of the grf, so I can't see why he/she wouldn't have drawn the new ones.

I'm likin' it! Only recommendations would be a bit more shadow on the dark side of the roof (sounds very Pink Floyd-ish, huh?). What I mean is the side that is facing North-West. Also, some shadows behind the roof fixtures / AC units.
Cheers!

That improved maintenance shop looks very nice. And it makes me aware that there´s still no maintenance shops for the later years in NewStations. BTW, how are your stations being coded? Wouldn´t it be an idea to do this in m4nfo? It´s quite fool-proofed for stations (NewStations has been coded in m4nfo), and (relatively) easy to understand, see this tutorial. regards Michael

For the purpose of testing them out in game I've re-used some other .grf's... But I'm also working on some additional stations, especially more modern ones for the sake of variety... Not there yet though as I happened to stumbled onto the drawing art of trains instead... Problem is time, and even more with this additional project... Well, it's all thanks to SlemFreak and his constant nagging about more - MORE - trains... As far as coding concerns SlemFreak, also an admin here at Simuscape, is coding trains at the moment, but concidering his skills and efforts I wouldn't be surprised if he continues with other stuff soon...

It seems I'm just about everywhere making stuff right now, and so here are some new freight stations following the design of one my previous sheds... Attachment:

And yes, I'm using these "overhead gantries", (?), in my game... Adds even more realism... On another note, these freight stations can also be used as Maintenance Facilities...

Indeed, I love longer realistic depots. And thumbs up for their height!
