Not sure if I could make it cargo aware so looks animated with people moving around? First I get it all finished the way I doing it now, and than see what improvements I can add and change. Cheers

Hi, Come up with a novelty idea for those like me like some realism in game. If the station you wish to make has short platforms, but some of your trains are way too long, how to make the train stop for same period of time if it fitted in the platform? So I made some point bars and signal wiring. These act the same as single sided platforms. Attachment:

Going along side the signals and points be a problem .. hope overlaps will work with out glitching to much. Where the bars cross under the tracks hope eventually to make them so can go different directions. Just an idea at moment .. but this will allow long trains to stop at short platforms.

Went for a train ride today to a place called Singleton. Got some video shots of Lochinvar, Greta, and Branxton from the window of the train too.
The last time I seen those stations and actually step foot n the platfrms was in the 1970s when I was a baggage porter on the North West Mail from Broadmeadow to Narrabri. Greta, Branxton and Singleton still have the original buildings, just the platforms been done up.
Lochinvar has had a complete face lift and for a little platform only big enough for one carriage to fit on it got one hell of a footbridge.
These images taken from train window is looking at Platform 1, which is on the northern side. To get off the station fro platform 1 you go up those 4 ramps to get to the top, across over the 2 tracks, down another 4 ramps to platform 2. The town happens to be on the northern side of the station 3 km away. The sign says it all "Way out".
I seen stations with ramps, but the ramps on other stations are just 2 ramp sections to reach the top. This one has 4.
Wonder how many people just go across the tracks.
Maybe make this footbridge eventually.

Thought it about time carried out some maintenance work on the tracks. No have some fettlers and some flagman to do the maintenance work. Unfortunately they pull down the fences where they work, but that might be to allow easy access to the work site. Fettlers when on the tracks doing maintenance work. On the single line a train is approaching. There is no signals just the flagman with a red flag. He should have put down some detonators, but he didn't. On the double line it has a path signal gives a early warning a train is approaching and hope the flag man on seeing that signal clear will get the workers off the tracks. Attachment:
FetterlsWaypointA.png [ 91.5 KiB | Viewed 7456 times ]
On the single track can see some men got out of the way in time , not sure about the others. Hope they didn't damage the loco. The double track no problem .. all the men are clear and the flagman showing a green flag. Attachment:

Do you want some maintenance work done to your tracks .. can hire my guys if like.

[offtopic] Wally, may I propose a better flag set to Garry? Red: Green: Ah! I forgot the flag woman: I guess she will be switching to a green dress to pair with the green flag. [/offtopic] - Garry: Brilliant idea!

Thanks guys,
Unfortunately I not sure if can do a flag with a flower as not enough pixels to use.
If I put a woman flag person there would train drivers take notice and slow down at the work sites?

A couple of ideas to add to your already large idea-list: - 2 industries, one that produces railconstructionmaterials (requires for example wood and iron) and another that accepts those (the accepting one could look something like a simple shack, where fettlers have their tea-break) - Stations that look like work-in-progress things (like indeed your fettlers) - Trains that carry those materials, can look like those trains that are used when tracks are being laid or maintained.

Quote: 2 industries, one that produces railconstructionmaterials (requires for example wood and iron) and another that accepts those (the accepting one could look something like a simple shack, where fettlers have their tea-break) I used to have a per way camp as a industry so be nice to add it again to go with my fettlers. A work train be interesting to add to the train sets and act a bit like eye candy road vehicles .. it just goes any where at a slow pace to delay other trains. A few weeks ago I got photos of track machines and hope make them as eye candy too. Quote: one could look something like a simple shack, where fettlers have their tea-break Will that mean adding men sitting down reading newspapers Could add maybe a little fire so they can boil the billy. Quote: - Stations that look like work-in-progress things (like indeed your fettlers) My mind been thinking of ideas along that line .. would like to animate all my Waypoints if can. Even signal boxes as a train passes the signal man could look out the windows to check the train as it passes. Like I did to the stuff huts. Cheers all

Hi Quast, Had a try to animate the fire. getting it animated worked, but it don't show the different flame colours. I made the Mask file. Attachment:
template_Fettlers_1_8bpp_MASK.png [ 4.03 KiB | Viewed 7440 times ]
And I added the flame to the 32bpp file. Attachment:

I changed line in code to: Code: 1 * 24 14 "C" "INFO" "B" "PALS" \w1 "D" "B" "BLTR" \w1 "3" 00 00 and I made this code for the subject.
