I been working on two Eye Candy Object projects called Auz_Roadside_Objects and Auz_Lineside_Objects. Credits for those who have been helping me and details of some of the objects you will find are in my Auz Projects viewtopic.php?f=179&t=811Although they are called Auz (short for Australia) majority of the items are suitable no matter what part of the world your in. Because of health problems I am unable sit at computer for long periods programming and testing so I highly rely on you to test for me report any problems or if all working good. I will put test versions in this part of the forum as I add new objects. Here are some test versions to try for me. Attachment:

Problems I do know of: Many have the blue Question mark .. unfortunately my coding is not that good in NML and I just don't know how to stop this .. some people tried to explain and I looked at sample NML, but to no avail. The Dams and snow roads in Auz_Roadside_Objects are still under construction and need testing see if your happy with the progresss to date. The Electricity wires, sub-stations and poles in Auz_Lineside_Objects also still under construction .. testing her be appreciated too. Hope you enjoy what been done so far. UPDATE: I just noticed the dam sprites for the SW direction have alignment problems .. in process of fixing now .. how have update file available soon. ... this copy fixed .. I hope. Attachment:

Thanks SAC for you comments. I do a bit at a time and after some trials and errors something eventually gets done.
I just lucky I not have much other things to take up my time so I can keep coming back to this several times a day. I do a bit for an hour or so and go away from it for an hour or so, then come back for another go and eventually something gets finished.
Cheers

Hi all,
An update to Auz_Roadside_Objects. Some fellas have helped me solve some issues with the coding. can not play with this project on snow .. however some objects are not snow covered yet.
SwissFan91 has been kind enough to start covering some objects with snow .. check out the fake gravel and dirt roads he done and let us know what you think.
Enjoy
Hope in afew days the other project Auz_Lineside_Objects will be re-coded and ready to use.

Hi all, Well, I basically finished re-coding. Just a few to do but they will wait not till after Easter. I going to do what many other will be doing .. playing the game and enjoying the weekend. Here is both files to test and enjoy over the Easter Holidays. Attachment:

Known issues .. the larger Station buildings don't have snow on the grounds .. the station staff are very sufficient and shovel the snow away. No buildings and objects have snow on the roofs yet. Be careful travelling on the Gravel and dirt roads as both covered with snow .. might be slippy. SwissFan91 made it snow on these roads and he interested to hear if everyone happy with the results. If you find any problems please let me know. I hope to have a break from coding and graphics work now till Tuesday. Enjoy and hope all have a good Easter. Cheers

I started into sporting objects for the Roadside project. Here's a try at a golf course. Attachment:
GolfCourse.png [ 67.09 KiB | Viewed 10392 times ]
The trees are from Forest Objects and City Objects. The set come in 6 pieces .. 1 for the Tees, 4 for fairways and 1 for the green. If anyone has a good building that would make a nice Golf Club can I have it to add to the set?

That bright green ... is very bright, even for TTD/OGFX terrain.

Unlike what said in tt-forums I like the last because it blends with the terrain better. If you made the course wider you would have more area and some make more lines. Hmm, maybe use 2 tiles in width: There you could also place trees and other vegetation.

Quote: Hmm, maybe use 2 tiles in width: There you could also place trees and other vegetation. I been looking at some Golf Course plans on internet to get some ideas. Making the fairways a bit wider be a good idea .. also didn't realise till I seen the internet plans that there is more then 1 tee off for each course .. So will intend to re-do the sprites I done do be good variety . I think just 4 Tee-off sprites .. one for each direction be enough .. but the Greens I only have 4 at moment so I think another 4 be ok. The fairways at moment have 12 so intend to increase that to 16 or 20 and make a mixture with sand and water. See if I can link the Water up with the water sprites I done for the dams so they look better. The main problem is getting the grass to grow how we want. Shall be in touch again later.

I had a go at linking the waterways to actual rivers and water sprites from the Dam. Seems to work ok. Here a sample with 2 different shades of fairways. Attachment:

I since made a few more water pieces called Golf Lakes so can decide if want the water area be large or small. If people want a mower grass effect ... I think the bottom one looks the best for a fairway and maybe use the top on for the Greens and Tees. I intend to make different design Fairways so can join them to make long one if want and also a few smaller ones.

I have to say I really, really like this Golf thing. Well done.
