Check Tony Pixel's topic. He has a copy of my Urban Transit Bridge that we recoloured green for his New York subway stuff.

First time I seen his projects.

Not sure if I keep mine green, as just use the New York ones as a guide.

We don't have many these types bridges that follow over roads and rails.

At Circular Quay in Sydney they have a raised railway track with a road above it.

Just need to try remember now where I seen some others and see how they was done.

Just goes to show how many like your ideas.

If you want to use the Urban Transit Bridge, I can grant you license. All I need is credit to show up in the GRF.

Thanks Wally, The idea I have for the rail and road bridge is based on your "Urban Transit Bridge" so more than happy to sh0w credit to you for that design.

Cheer

You'll need some sprites.

Thanks Wally,

Will pinch some pieces from that and use the colours you used for the road bridge.

I see in the sprite you have the Purchase Icon there too .. can you give me a hint how to code for the icons as I think I can start adding some purchase Icons to some of my bridges.

Cheers

The icons can be replaced with an ActionA, but this works poorly for the recolour bridges.
Don't run away screaming! There is a solution!
JGR's patch pack supports replacing icons, but you'll need to add an Action 14 and a property to Action0.
Give me a couple of days to cobble some code together for you that includes a skip for those who don't subscribe to JRR's magic.

Which bridge ID will you be using?

The Bridges called Sydney and Cougal are completed. I draw up some icons for them when get chance like you taught me a few moons ago.

No hurry for this as will take me a while to finish all the other bridges.

I don't use JGR's when testing what I make .. I used to use it and Nightlies when I first started coding long time ago when didn't know the restrictions with some sets.

Cheers pal

I've got the Sky Way bridges up and operational and changed their name to Urban sky Way Bridges.

in my bridge set I have reserved the ID Wally used for his Urban Transit Bridges as I like that bridge for Trams as looks good separating the tram tracks from the roads where possible.

These the bridges I built using Wally's idea.

For display purposes the bridges are up 2 levels.

The platforms I used are from my sets. Has overlap sections on the bridge abutments.

I found some raised rail bridges in Sydney so I might change the sky rail bridge so it matches those in Sydney. If you have Google Earth you can see some of the bridges I like to do at Circular Quay and the approaches to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Most likely try doing the Harbour Bridge approaches as they can go with the Sydney harbour Bridge when I finish it.

One more ID slot left .. that being the Stone Bridge which came with the Source I obtained from Aundrew360. This bridge I intend to replace with the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I'll do another image of all the bridges shortly and list what I hope to still do.

Here the game file if like to try and see if like how I did the credits.

What do I plan next:

Wide Bridges: Mentioned in other forum I have no futuristic bridges .. so might make this one more modern. The railways is Sydney on the Leppington Line have new style of rail bridges, so look at doing something like those.

Sydney Bridge: Just needs to be renamed.

Urban Sky Way Bridges: The road set needs street lights. The rail set looking at changing it a bit like the Southern Approaches to the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney or like that at Circular Quay.

Culvert. Might make the rail set wider and change the colour of the white fences to a grey .. I hoping by doing this the closes fence might blend in a bit with the ballast and therefore if 2 of these bridges was side by side you not see the fence down the middle very much. Still need to put the culverts pillars under the road bridge.

Brick: I think can say these are finished.

Steel Girder: I think these are finished too.

Stone Bridge: Will be replaced and hope it will become the Sydney harbour Bridge.

Iron Plate Bridge: I think the railway bridge could be replaced with the Steel Pillar bridge. The road bridge put steel pillars under it.

Cougal Bridge: I think it is finished.

Steel Bridge: Rename it and replace the rail bridge with something else. The road bridge replace it with this.
Attachment:
Dunmore 2.png

Wooden: Need to fix the abutments to the rail bridge. Think the road bridge is finished.

Wooden Trestle: Need to fix the abutments to the rail and road bridges.

If anyone has another suggestion please let me know.

There are 3 ID left for 3 more bridges, but they will only be available for those using JRG game set.

Cheers

When I do the Sydney harbour bridge it will be called that. Just the other bridges I done that I called Sydney bridge .. the second from right in pic above .. Might called these Stone Bridges as the Stone bridges in pic will become the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Does that make sense?

Won't get much done for a few days as it a long weekend here .. Mondays a holiday and getting visitors tonight.

Cheers

Weekend not start off to good .. the visitor suppose have yesterday afternoon been in car accident so not be coming. They not hurt, but car badly damaged.

So I did some bridge work this morning instead.

The Steel pillar Road bridge been replaced by the Morpeth Bridge. it the white one in this pic.

The Rail Steel Pillar bridge at the moment is a Steel Girder bridge, but it will be replaced a bit later with something else.
The udder bridge replaces the Wide rail Bridge and had a high speed of 251 km/ph (at least the game file I uploaded in the other forum only has that speed).

Made this one in this game file a wee bit faster to 301. Not sure what the fastest trains are in game as none in Australia go over 160 (or should I say not suppose to go over 160).

The Iron Plate Rail bridge has had a few changes made. The pylons are now metal instead of stone and took so long to do things are starting to get a bit rust on the pillars and the iron Plating.

By making those changes I no longer need the Steel pillar rail bridge. It will be replaced by something else.

Time for a cat nap .. catch ya later.

What a bumma .. making the Morpeth Bridge I forgot to include some of the graphics.

The bridge in real is wood with iron bars.

The graphics should have been like this.

Wonder if the cat and the Mice had seething to do with me forgetting

I hope to update the bridge if all goes will by end of the week.

Next few days I have a few other things to do.

Cheers

Plans changed .. I had chance to change graphics on some bridges.

The Culvert Road bridge now has culvert pylons under it and the Morpeth bridge now has correct graphics (I hope).
Attachment:

The Culvert is designed to be 1 level high, if build it higher will have a issue with the pylons on the slopes. It is not designed for boats and road traffic to pass under it, but might find room for canoes.

Now much thanks to Quast65 he found me some coding for the Tunnels I been working on in the track sets. I hope to be able to place the portals further back.

Here the latest bridges .. Cheers

Almost… ;-)
Take another look at the picture, in the middle of the bridge there should be an X.
So its something like this:
///X\\\
(where all beams should have the same angle as the X ofcourse)
Start out with the X in the middle and then work your way outwards.

The X marks the spot.

I think it might be a bit difficult to get it all equal and have nice end unless I change the slope of these.

It something I will have a look t a bit later and see if can get it nicer looking.

Cheers
