What the second post?

Can bridges be made so they only a certain length of maybe 4 or 5 at most including the on/off ramps?

Thinking about the fake culverts I did if I can make them as proper bridges too. The ramps can be the ballast embankments .. maybe 0 and 1 could also be the culverts made from either wooden, concrete or brick culverts. 2, 3 and 4 can be sections so roads and river can pass under.

Cheers

Yes.

The only bridge detail that can appear below the bridge deck are the pillars. You have to use objects for anything else. The ramps can be anything you draw on a sloped tile or on a flat tile, but ramps must not have any superstructure. Try to keep things as simple as possible. Currently there are only 13 OTTD bridge slots. Take a good look at the tracking table. Keep in mind that your bridges will not only replace the default bridges. They would also replace bridges in other bridge sets such as TBRS.

Currently my focus will be on completing the Steel Girder Bridge.

Must admit a good set of underbridge objects will give the opportunity to make the same bridge look different. Especially the Wooden bridge when finished as the pylons different with some of them .. love the wooden trestle work under some of them.

Sorry for the delay. I got sidetracked (again). Lots of real life interruptions and its difficult to get any work done between interruptions. :P

I'm going to take the next couple of days to finish the pylons part of my tutorial before continuing on with auzbridges.

We often end up down those sidetracks. Often take a while to find our way out of them.

I been having some fun with fake railway lines .. started to make them for scenario building and got sidetracked with them and started making them as objects for game play.

Enjoy your sidetrack and I'll enjoy mine till we meet again.
Cheers pal

Hi Wally,

Who tings progressing :) The pylons still being piles of problems :?:

I been finding some disused rusty railways lines and using them to make sidings and marshalling yards. Hardest part is getting in the mood lately. Wanting to do some things but not feel like doing them.

Catch up with ya again soon.

Cheers Garry

Hi Garry,

Yea ... Sometimes motivation is the most difficult part of a project. :P
I've been following your rusty rail work. Looking good. 8-)
Busy week ahead. Bill-Pay-Day on Thursday and a new screenshot contest. I need two more feet and five more hands.
Should be good to go on Monday. That ok?

Wally

Hi Pal,

Easy to get ideas to do things but doing them is the next hardest step, specially when not motivated yet. While waiting to get motivated gives time for more ideas

Tuesday I have a busy day see medical people that morning .. they think I had TB when in Philippines and not Bronchitis as doctor there said I had, so Tuesday have some more tests and see if I did as still got slight cough and some days get a fever.

Wish you luck with the screenshot .. one day hope to try myself using these projects I involved in.

When you find those extra feet and hands and get chance and motivated will be ok to continue with our project.

I started the rusty rails again as need to do in 2 lots .. one for railway lines and one for trains. Be doing it this way hope to have room for some sidings with overhead wires for a depot to hold EMU sets. Whether to use the Dutch Overheads or a different type that I not sure of yet.

Anyway, getting late so I finish off the rail set I doing now and head to dream world.

Cheers

Gaz

Seen the quack yesterday he say could be a few more weeks of torture from the shingles.

Started doing some more to the Fake Railway Lines by adding some wagons but slow process as had to concentrate what I doing when not feeling well.

What if we give ourselves a few more weeks before we work on the bridges. Maybe not next Monday but one of those after that one.

Cheers pal

Thanks pal can start doing things to bridges when ready .. just could be a bit slower then normal turn around.

Seen a documentary on TV how clever Crows (birds) are. Using sticks as tools to do things. They should have came to Australia see how clever they are here .. they fly backwards to keep the dust out of their eyes. :o

Cheers

Hello Wally,

How things cooking in your neck of the woods :)

Your projects still keeping you busy still?

My little project of fake railway lines to use in scenario making has expanded into a much larger project then I originally intended. If your still busy with your projects for now, I'll keep busy with my fake project. See how we getting along in a weeks time if like.

Cheers pal

Garry

Hi Garry,

Sorry for the delay. A combination of projects and personal life stuff keeps throwing wrenches into my gears. Re the bridges, at the moment I am waiting for some information that might affect how I code bridges, so I have put my bridge work on hold. I think you have a good idea as to what sprites are needed for a bridge, so I suggest that if you want to keep drawing, go ahead. That way, once I know which way the coding will go, your sprites will be ready.

Regards,

Wally
