Mostly known and recognized for his achievements with Transport Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon, Chris Sawyer has taken very little part in online communities dedicated to his games! And it's well known that he hasn't been that appreciative with fans custom modifications of his games, whether it's been about graphics or complete code changes allowing for new game features or enhancements of already implemented features. And as such he hasn't been particularly interested in visiting any website focusing on any of his games, let alone websites offering any of these modifications.
Late 2012 Simuscape contacted Chris Sawyer to discuss the overall development of his Transport Tycoon, especially during the last years as a result of Josef Drexlers introduction of the patch which basically revolutionized the entire Transport Tycoon game play. And not long afterwards the discussion moved on to the project INFRA Tycoon, a complete replacement of all the graphics in the original Transport Tycoon concept, something that soon resulted in a more indepth discussion about features never implemented in the original game. Chris Sawyer revealed that he had more plans with Transport Tycoon, especially considering features that at this point are more or less implemented in the open source clone, but also other interesting ideas that never made it into the game itself.
While Chris Sawyer has provided Simuscape with some valuable inputs as far as the project INFRA Tycoon concerns, he choses to keep his membership at Simuscape a secret to the overall public. And as such his username is as common as anyone elses, keeping his integrity and personal profile at the lowest possible. But he does no longer mind that his presence here at Simuscape and in particular his assisting role in INFRA Tycoon is a secret itself, hence revealing it here and now! Chris Sawyer has also, as a result of these discussions, invited yet another person, mostly recognized for his work with Roller Coaster Tycoon, for further assistance with the development on INFRA Tycoon. Especially concerning some features that has been long anticipated by members of the Transport Tycoon community at large. And once presented the open source clone will face a new situation - or dilemma... You be the judge...
