The nice thing about drawing is that the more you do it the better you get. attempted to draw the Markthal in Rotterdam a few weeks ago. its a fairly new building, part apartment complex part market place. Still having a bit of trouble figuring out the curvature of the roof, had it done but wasn't satisfied so still tinkering with it. Going to try to finish it soon.

I think the light green color you use for the glass panels (?) outside the building is off compared to what I see in the photos. But you may know better since I have never been there.

But you may know better since I have never been there. you may be right, I'm in the process of redrawing large parts of the building now. and I'll see if I can find a more suitable color. I tend to get distracted once and a while. and it has happened again. started on this Palace of Westminster which will require lots of work and hours, so I'll be putting it aside again for now. going to concentrate on finishing Rotterdam CS and the Markthal (which sadly needs a lot of redrawing to fit the new curvature) but just wanted to share this. it's going to be split into 3 parts which will make its footprint pretty big, but will try to make each part usable on its own. I'll also add my first attempt at the shard, this was drawn before I decided to draw buildings with a footprint larger than 3x3, might scrap this one and start over on a 4x4. Attachment:

now back to the dutch projects.

So been busy again, not yet finished but wanted to share the progress. still need a lot of texturing and details added. but the main things are done. I said earlier that I'd make it in 3 parts but it will be 2 parts unless I make Big Ben separately.

haven't had that much time to draw much this week, so it's been going slow. made some progress on the Palace of Westminster. still plenty of work to be done before it can be called finished. Attachment:

I've gone and revisited the markthal I posted earlier. the first version resembled the building but the arch wasn't right and it wasn't broad enough. had some help regarding the arch shape from luxtram and redrew the building last night. still needs texturing and some more fine tuning but I'm pretty happy with what I've got so far.
may also revisit the color of the balcony glass before I call it a day on this building.

Awesome!! Quote: may also revisit the color of the balcony glass before I call it a day on this building. Assuming you mean the light green, try applying the texture trick to those first (for those who may not have followed Silver's thread over at the tt-forums, here is a link to that "trick" https://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=74749&start=200#p1172258, see what effect it has. You may not need to change that color then.

the texture trick wasn't needed in the end, as the color for the balconies wasn't part of the pallet, when palletizing it, it created it's own texture.
So a new building to show. Casa Confetti situated in Utrecht, it's student housing.

Are you sure it won't start falling apart with the first breeze?

So working on an object to complement the utrecht station that is almost complete. it's a rather large object. but wanted to create it. will be released as a stand alone building and as the exit to Utrecht CS like it is in real life.. Attachment:

Utrecht CS is now done, and should be included in the next release of Quast65's additions set. I've also been working on some older stations, these are all still WIP's but I'm pretty happy with what I've got done so far.

Love those station buildings... perhaps a bit skeptic when it comes to the scale... what program do you use to create these - or is it pixel work from scratch?
