Extended the car parking over the bus transit area.

Put stairways so can have direct access to platforms and bus area.

Thanks to the Dutch Road Set used some of their signs and arrows so people have more chance to going the wrong way.

The red stairways and lamp posts stolen from Dutch Platform Sets.

Parking designs taken from the CS Station Sets.

I think what I done to date will do for the car park above 2 tracks. Time to hire some cranes and lift the car park up off the pillars to make room for a shopping centre.

After I get them done in both directions see if I can make some shopping objects opposite side of road to link with the shopping complex I make.

Trains are from NSWTrains .. the one approaching station is Brisbane Limited and the one departing station is North Coast Mail.

Wallyweb and myself finished the first bridge.

It a steel girder bridge. The railways never to my knowledge paint their bridges .. hence the rusty look.

The Road Traffic Authority painted their bridges with a grey rust proof paint .. hence the grey road bridges. The road bridges can be placed side by side as shown here.

I've load with other bridge sets place AuzBridges after that set. I tested it with Total Bridge Renewal and Urban Transit System Bridge and placed it after both of these and it works fine. Did not work when I placed it before them.

Give it a try and let wally and me know whatcha think.

Been fiddling with the car parks again.

Made some that can expand up to 6 railway lines and/or roads.

If make them full width have glitches .. but if only cover 4 tracks or roads no glitches.

Been trying to do some shops but just not got the design right yet .. I need more practice.

I give up for the time being with the carparks as now figure out how to stop the glitches on some of them .. so .. I started a new object set called Auz_FakeTracks.

I'll be working on this as well as the bridge sets with Wallyweb. Maybe try the carparks again sometime later.

The Fake Train Tracks .. there are some main line sets basically designed these to use when making scenarios to map out where future railway lines to go .. can also be used in game play for same reason.

Another set included is Fake Railway Sidings. These designed to make railway sidings from single to multiple lines.
Attachment:
Fake Sidings Part 2.png
Fake Sidings Part 2.png [ 182.9 KiB | Viewed 7452 times ]

The railway underlay (ballast) I used from ISR Station Sets so that placing of actual platforms from the ISR sets on main lines near these sidings will match up.
ISR's Marshalling Yard instigated the idea of the sidings being close together, which idea I also used back in February with the Coal Stage in the Auz_Lineside_Objects. Notices Michael (mb) also working on this concept with his next New Stations .. so hope these sets can all be used together.

At moment only the SW to NE direction is available for the Fake Sidings and they6 all empty. Will be adding wagons from my AuzTrains very soon after I do this will make the sidings for the NW to SE direction.

Anyone like to give it a try and see if I can improve on any, here a copy of the files including the NML and sprites.

Will later change some of the Industries in AuzInd160 and building objects in Auz_Lineside_Objects to work in with these fake sidings.

Since these are fake is there any chance to have curved ones like M.B did?

Had a go at making the corner sections a bit more curvish.
Attachment:
Fake Sidings Part 3.png
Fake Sidings Part 3.png [ 90.5 KiB | Viewed 7447 times ]

Had a good look at what 'mb' been doing and he is using slightly narrower tracks and this has allowed him to fit 3 tracks in side of the one tile.

Because I basing all my Tracks on the NuTracks I am unable to fit my 3 tracks within a tile like he has achieved, so I have a track running down the centre between the main tracks.

Really like 'mb' idea but also like to use the NuTrack sizes .. so I had to compromised.

Going to try and clean up some of the rust on the rails. The single sidings would be fairly rusty as not used much, but those used for marshalling yards and bigger sidings be used more and there for not as rusty.

Have you got any spare Emery Cloth, Brasso and polishing rags

Emery Cloth? Plenty available! Brasso? I haven't seen that for ages. Not so common here. But I remember my mom using it back in Australia (I was around 4 then...)

I've taken the surface rust off some of the tracks .. not make them shinny to see yourself in them.
Compare the difference ..

Making 3 choices for track Laying.
Main Lines (These rusty as they represent planned lines that are not yet used).
Sidings (Rusty) SW-NE
Marshalling Yards SW-NE

How's this .. have the curved sections where possible and two rusted track designs .. one very rusty for sidings not used often and a bit rusty for busier sidings and Marshalling Yards.

Stil have to do the sidings for the North-West to South-East directions, but want to get the other direction right first.

If like to try here a copy of the newgrf file

Thanks Pal,

Tried to do some replicas of sidings in NSW Australia and failed with Quirindi.

I circled the problem area.
Attachment:

In game play the Main Line, Loop and Extended Loop need to be actual train lines to run your trains on.

The rest can be fake or actual railway lines.

If use fake how to overcome the points I have circled from the Middle Road to the Silo Road and Grain Shed and Stock Siding.

Using the fake Railway Lines the Middle Road would be the track running along the edge of the tiles.
The Stock Siding would be the middle track and the Mill Siding would be the track along the opposite edge of tile.

You can guess what I be doing today .. designing some more combinations of points so that I can make Quirindi and will test some other sidings too.

Luxtram has given me an idea with the fake sidings and might save a lot on so many different combinations.

See his post over on https://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php ... 2#p1177861

Double tracks on a tile instead of trying to fit 3 tracks and having them overlapping on other tiles.

Will experiment with these and see what I can do and if they be better.

Made up a few sidings using luxtram's idea.
Attachment:
TwinTracks1.png
TwinTracks1.png [ 477.27 KiB | Viewed 7430 times ]

Tracks are close together and doesn't look odd with the Main Lines.
Enough room between sidings and main lines so less chance shunters to step in front of a moving train on the other lines.

What ya think? .. about these siding .. not what ever else you was thinking of. :)

A few more combinations done .. hope do more today.
Attachment:

Must admit working on this design is a lot easier planning combinations as no overlaps needed .. yet.

The previous with the track down the centre and had overlaps was creating many combinations to get the desired effect.

See what I come up with today and will decide if I stick to this idea or return to the other idea.

Is there any qualified Per-Way Inspectors or Track Supervisors that can inspect these lines and see if they ok for traffic.

Done to shades of rust for a not so busy siding and one that a bit busier.

Getting the curves right coming from the Main Lines to sidings not very easy. Will work on these some more later.

Other the weekend will look through the "NSWR Track and Signal Diagrams" DVD and see if I can make replicas of some of the sidings and Marshalling Yards. This will help be design any other track formation needed.

Once get these right will allow wagons to be stored in the sidings and make some North-West to South-East directions.

Curiosity .. would some North-South and East-West sidings be ok too

Cheers
