Hey All, Would just like to say Hello. Soon I will be starting my own Graphics Project (If my two brothers give me chance to ) Regarding my Graphics, I am a bit of a Noob, so please be patient with me. I'm not as advanced as say, Leanden. This is my first attempt at anything like this. So, My Graphics. Well, my Main Objective of my Graphics is to Provide a number of Real World Vehicles, in a number of Fictional Companies color Schemes. At the minute, I have around 4-5 in mind. One is Definate Currently, to start off, I am concentrating on Air, based on AV8, many thanks to Pikka for allowing me to use the Graphics, and SAC for decoding. I also may not be able to do too much down the Week, mainly because of School, having just started GCSE's in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and German and soon to start them in English and Maths. Pain in the neck, but I will try to do as much as possible. Of Course, Praise and Constructive Critism is welcome on all of my Graphics. As I have said I'm a Noob so anyway people can help me would be great. So Yeah, Thanks for reading this All, Cameron.

You might also be interested in contributing to this set: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=39227It has a lot of planes already with liveries, but also in greyscale which makes painting a lot more easier. It's forum can be found here (with loads of greyscales and liveries, sorted out by planetype): http://worldairlinerset.forumotion.net/And the dev-zone is here (also to find greyscales and if you want to contribute to the coding): http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/worldairlinerssetI'm going to try to bring some life back into that GRF (firstly with trying to sort out some misalignment issues and later with adding new liveries, that have been drawn but not coded yet), it is also based on AV8, so contributing to that might also be a good start.

The greyscales can help a lot. You don't have to draw the plane itself anymore and it gives a good idea of the shading. Good luck and have fun!

Well, some Planes I will have to draw myself, not being in either AV8 or WAS, plus I need permission of the leader of WAS (who is it). And Thanks for the support.

Looking forward to see what you may come up with! And as I told you earlier, you'll be receiving lots of help from skilled and talented artists here at Simuscape, both with coding and graphics... Good luck!

This is the relevant topic: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=55191The light angle actually varies depending on what you are drawing, for landscape and things on the ground it is decided that the light comes from high in the sky due east, for planes and other aircraft, the sun is in the bottom right of the screen.

Thanks again Leanden. BTW what is classed as Due East in the Game? Is it the Right hand-side of the Screen, need to know for when I move onto RV's and eventually (hopefully) Trains.

4:30 is the direction agreed by almost all artists to use so we keep uniform. [I personally used 3:00 for my buildings.]
